This is Zemaria Jeanty reporting on behalf of St. Scholastica’s Step Team: YES! SSA has a Step team this year!
SSA had a Step team in the past, and now due to popular demand, it’s back in action. Junior Tosin Soyege is our president. The team is composed of about 10 people.
“Our goal this year is mainly to show the school what stepping is all about. We are open to new members all the time. If you don’t think you’d be good at stepping, it’s no problem. We have a great team who help each other. No one is perfect,” says Tosin Soyege.
When learning and doing Step there needs to be a lot of practice, as with any choreography.
As of now, the team is preparing for the schools Variety Show. Other events that are in the works include: the Christmas Concert, Black History Month Assembly, and stepping at Stinger home basketball games. Watch For Us!
